Chadwick Boseman Honoured In Touching 'Spider-Man: Miles Morales' Tribute

"You are a good man with a good heart."

Developer Insomniac Games has paid a touching tribute to Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman in its latest game. In the final moments of the excellent Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the studio takes a moment to remember the "Noble King" we tragically lost earlier this year at just 43 years old.

While this particular moment in the game has absolutely nothing to do with the story, I do appreciate that you might want to see the exact nature of the tribute for the first time after having played through the game yourself. As such, this is your warning to stop reading now if you don't want to see how Insomniac paid tribute to the actor.

Last warning.

Okay, the tribute reads: "In loving memory of a Noble King, Chadwick Boseman. His Honor, Strength, and Compassion will reverberate for generations to come. Wakanda Forever." You can also see a screenshot of the tribute below.

Boseman's family confirmed the actor's passing in late August. In a statement posted to his Twitter, they revealed he had been diagnosed with stage III colon cancer back in 2016. He'd been battling with the illness for the last four years as it progressed to stage IV - all while continuing to bring his very best to multiple films. Of all these projects, his most well-remembered will no doubt be as King T'Challa in the game-changing Black Panther, which released in 2018 to widespread critical acclaim.

Appearing in Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, it was clear that Boseman was going to play a vital part in Marvel's future plans. His roles in films like Da 5 Bloods, 42, 21 Bridges, and Get On Up also proved his was an enormous talent that was only just getting started.

Insomniac's tribute in a game like Spider-Man: Miles Morales serves as a welcome reminder that Boseman's work with Black Panther will reverberate for generations to come - and rightly so.
