One of the most persistent rumours related to the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home is that Tom Holland's MCU wallcrawler will be joined by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, reprising their roles from their respective Spidey adventures.

It's been a wild ride so far, with reports firmly suggesting that No Way Home will be some kind of multiverse-hopping adventure in which Holland's Spider-Man comes face to face with alternate incarnations of the character. This has strongly been supported by the casting of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, as well as the news that Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx are returning as Doctor Octopus and Electro from Spider-Man 2 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 respectively.

Despite this, Marvel and Holland have remained fairly adamant that No Way Home will limit itself to one Spider-Man. Most fans are assuming this is a lie, of course, and now the Spanish dub actor for Maguire in Sam Raimi's original trilogy has all but confirmed that the original big-screen Spidey is coming back one last time.

As reported by GamesRadar+, actor Roger Pera was asked during an interview on an episode of the Spanish podcast El Sotano del Planet if he's dubbing a Spidey movie anytime soon. He revealed that he is, in fact, been in touch with Sony.

"There was a moment when I thought: this is fake, but yes, this is going to happen, I don't know when, but we are going to work on it," he said, as translated by Sebastian Puerta on Twitter.

As exciting as this is though, do take it with a pinch of salt for now. Pera could well be talking about any number of in-development Spider-Man projects. It's also worth noting that he doesn't exclusively dub Maguire roles, and has dubbed over the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon in the past.

In short, this is hardly the most conclusive evidence... but when paired with everything else we know about movie film so far, this would certainly suggest once and for all that one of Marvel's worst-kept secrets is true, and that Tobey Maguire is indeed returning for No Way Home. Let's hope so!
