The Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer Is Here, And It's Everything We Wanted

It finally happened, my friends. After months of waiting, endless speculation, and one massive leak, Sony has finally dropped the first full trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home. And it is glorious.

The third solo movie starring Tom Holland's MCU wallcrawler, No Way Home looks like it'll be picking up directly after the events of Far From Home. As you may remember, Mysterio got the last laugh by framing Peter for murder and exposing him to the world as Spider-Man, with the help of J. Jonah Jameson (a returning J.K Simmons).

With his friends and family now in constant danger as a result his being outed, Peter turns to the one man he believes can help: Doctor Strange.

Interestingly, it looks like No Way Home will loosely adapt certain elements of the much-hated One More Day storyline. In the comics, One More Day saw a desperate Peter make a deal with the Mephisto (Marvel's devil, basically) to save his dying Aunt and make everyone forget they knew he was Spider-Man. This led to a major status-quo shift in the comics that retconned a lot of stuff, but in the context of the MCU? Well, a teenager turning to magic to fix a mistake seems far more easy to swallow.

Sure enough, No Way Home centers around Strange deciding to help Peter by casting a spell that will cause everyone to forget he's Spidey. This very swiftly goes wrong, however, and leads to some fascinating looking multiverse-based hijinks. The trailer ends with a shot of a pumpkin bomb and a familiar cackle (clearly Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin). There's even the reappearance of Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus. I knew it was coming and I still gasped like a ten-year-old.

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits cinemas December 17.
