Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is a one-of-a-kind experience offered in Galaxy's Edge at the Walt Disney World Resort. However, fans are absolutely astonished at how much this adventure will cost.
Let's be real - nowhere else on this planet will offer something like this, so the price point reflects the uniqueness of the outing. Guests will enjoy two nights on the Halcyon starcruiser, rubbing elbows with a number of colourful characters, and relaxing in a suite with a wonderful view of space. I'm not totally sure what constitutes a "wonderful view" because, if you're looking out into outer space with no nearby systems, it's going to be dark. Very, very, dark. Sorry to shatter the illusion.
Disney describes Galactic Starcruiser as "part live immersive theater, part themed environment, part culinary extravaganza, part real-life role-playing game-and yet so much more." On the face of it, this is looking like every Star Wars groupie's dream, so why on Earth are the prices not for every Star Wars groupie?

For two guests, the experience will cost $1,209 per guest per night. A trio consisting of two adults and one child will pay $889 per guest per night. And, a group of three adults with one child will cough up $749 per guest per night. Alternatively, you could pay for the entire experience up front - which will be $4,809, $5,299 or $5,999 based on these proposed packages.
If I haven't hammered the point home enough, my boyfriend just looked over my shoulder at my screen and said, "Woooooahhh." What's more is that the example itinerary of activities will see guests enter and exit the Halcyon starcruiser in less than 48 hours. Expectedly, some fans are livid with Disney for pricing out the average family with these costs for Galactic Starcruiser.
"Launching this bullsh*t during a pandemic, how are normal people supposed to afford $1209 per person per night for a couple - Star Wars Hotel or not, that's obscene," said @Chris_s____. "Really gross how Disney has turned Star Wars into this luxury Westworld experience that caters to those with the funds to enjoy them," added @JasperJay40. However, one person has suggested a smart solution.
"Should we just have our own starcruiser event," asked @anansoka. "Lets just collectively rent a house somewhere and decorate it, insert big tv screens in front [of] the windows and have them play hyperspace animation. would be cheaper." You know, they just might be onto something here.
