'Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2' All But Confirmed Via New Job Listing

I've got a good feeling about this.

Respawn Entertainment isn't finished with Star Wars yet, my friends. That's according to a recent job listing from the Titanfall studio that confirms it's currently staffing up for a new video game set in a galaxy far, far away.

As I'm sure you all remember, 2019's single-player adventure Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a huge hit that left fans, critics, and publisher Electronic Arts very happy indeed. A sequel has always seemed pretty much inevitable, but a recent job listing from Respawn all but confirms that the studio's next project is the follow up we've been waiting for.

Over on Twitter, Respawn senior producer Blair Brown confirmed that the team are currently looking for an experience producer to join them on a new Star Wars project. While the listing doesn't specifically reference Jedi: Fallen Order, it's unlikely Respawn would be working on any new Star Wars-related projects, especially given the fact that EA no longer has exclusive publishing rights to games set in the universe.

With Ubisoft working on a new open-world Star Wars and DICE likely to be handling any potential Battlefront sequels, it's a safe bet that Respawn will continue on with the story of Jedi outcast Cal Kestis and friends. Without spoiling anything, the end of Jedi: Fallen Order certainly left the door wide open for a sequel. That, plus the large stacks of money the game made for EA, would more than suggest Respawn's new Star Wars project is a sequel.

I should point out this isn't the first time we've seen Respawn hiring new talent to its Star Wars team. Just months after Jedi: Fallen Order launched, we learned the studio was on the hunt for a senior character artist, level designer, and senior software engineer. At the time it was widely assumed that work had started on some kind of story DLC or expansion for the first game, but a full-blown sequel is now looking far more likely.
