Solo: A Star Wars Story released three years ago and though neither Disney nor Lucasfilm are planning on revisiting its plotlines, fans are keen for a sequel following characters both new and old.
The thing is, Solo is the lowest-grossing live-action film in the franchise, so the chances of a revival are slim, especially when you consider the multitude of projects occurring within Star Wars. The second season of The Mandalorian concluded in late 2020 and Disney was chomping at the bit to continue the hype for this post-originals and pre-sequels point in time. There's Ahsoka, which will follow the titular rebel after her appearance in the TV show. The Book Of Boba Fett will surely kick off with a bang given that the bounty hunter killed what remained of Jabba's allies in his palace and took the place for himself and Fennec Shand. On the other hand, Andor is a "tense nail-biting spy-thriller" series starring the captain from Rogue One, and we'll certainly be reacquainted with some old enemies in that show.

The ho-hum of economic hogwash (what is a box office bomb, anyway?) hasn't discouraged fans of the film who have been clamouring for a sequel on social media through the trend "#MakeSolo2Happen." It isn't out of the realm of possibility, to be honest.
The second story could see Han and Chewbacca at the start of their collaboration with Jabba the Hutt, why they lose their cargo, and how Han becomes a target for the numerous bounty hunters of the galaxy. Furthermore, it's likely that it would involve Boba Fett to some degree as he and the alien work closely during the original trilogy of films. Then, there's the question of Q'ira who in fact works for the Sith Lord who runs Crimson Dawn.
What happens to her and why isn't she mentioned at all in Han's future? And Enfys Nest, leader of the Cloud Riders, eventually gives the coaxium to Saw Gerrera, and Jyn Erso is a member of his Partisans group.

There are a lot of options when you think about it, and it would be interesting to pursue some of these loose threads. Given how busy Disney and Lucasfilm are right now, I don't imagine we'll see a Solo 2 for some time. But, never say never.
