Many of us are lucky enough to have only read about earthquakes in textbooks and watched the destruction caused by them on the news. Rarely do people living away from tectonic fault lines really understand what it must feel like to experience the earth shifting beneath your feet like that but others know what that's like from first-hand experience.

With the increasing popularity of streaming, it's no surprise that one player caught a quake on camera. Streamer Falconn2k was live at the time of the recent 7.0 magnitude earthquake that hit parts of Greece, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Turkey and you can see his reaction to the tremors. He gets up from his set up likely to get to safety as his room shakes.

Decorations in his room start to shift, whatever his camera is connected to moves violent to turn towards what looks like a door and curtains - both of which are shaking too. It's wild to see as someone who hasn't personally experienced an earthquake - a powerful reminded of the intensity of these natural disasters.

The video is scary enough as it is, but seeing images from areas effected really show the power of the tremors. Part of a Samos Orthodox church collapsed, while weak buildings fell apart. The sea flooded some areas, while receded from other beaches as a potential indication of a tsunami as an after effect of the quake, before reportedly sending a mini-tsunami towards Samos.

Falconn2k is already back streaming though, so thankfully he's okay. Unfortunately, this was a lethal earthquake for others. At the time of reporting, there have been 28 confirmed deaths caused by the quake, and over 800 people injured according to the BBC.

Emergency teams are still working to help clear the rubble of buildings and look for any more potential survivors but aftershocks from the earthquake are making it difficult to safely work their way through the debris.
