The upcoming Harry Potter RPG Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most-antipcated releases of 2022, but there's still so much we don't know about it.

A reveal trailer shared by Warner Bros. and developer Avalanche Software over one year ago certainly whet our appetites. While brief, we got a look at an RPG that promises an open world to explore, spells to learn, and dangers to overcome - basically the Hogwarts sim most of us have been dreaming of since we were kids.

Take a look at the trailer below!

In lieu of any further news, fans have been desperately scouring the trailer and promotional poster for any further clues. But it wasn't until just recently that one eagle-eyed fan spotted a particularly disturbing secret lurking within the game's poster.

As uncovered by General-Discount-305, there's a giant spider waiting in a cobweb-covered cave off to the side in what looks to be the Forbidden Forest. On the one hand, this isn't hugely surprising: The Harry Potter series is no stranger to extra-large arachnids, so it makes sense they'd show up in Hogwarts Legacy. On the other hand? Nope. I am not what you'd call a fan of spiders, and I absolutely do not relish the thought of meeting the eight-legged bastards in this game.

"Nope to that part of the game," responded one user. I'm with them. As a kid watching Chamber Of Secrets, the scenes where Harry and Ron need to flee the forest from Aragog and his army of spiders legitimately wrecked me. I might be much older and slightly wiser, but my arachnophobia is still off the charts. I don't know if I'll be able to handle this.

Here's hoping Avalanche Software takes inspiration from Obsidian's Grounded and gives players some kind of arachnophobia mode to toggle how disturbing the monsters are. If not, I'm just going to have to learn the first fire spell I can and burn that damn forest to the ground.
