A 'Last Of Us 2' Easter Egg Was Hidden In Uncharted 4 All Along

Turns out there was yet another The Last of Us 2 Easter Egg hidden in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End the entire time, and maybe you're like us and you've just never noticed. The hit games from famous development studio Naughty Dog love to contain a reference here and there to the alternative ND worlds which makes it hard to immediately spot them all. Though, remember when you got the opportunity to play Crash Bandicoot in Uncharted 4? A fantastic gaming throwback if ever there was one.

And now, fans on Reddit have spotted a detail in Uncharted 4 which is definitely a reference to The Last of Us Part 2 now we know it's there. If you're in A Thief's End then you might have seen some pharmacy pill prescription bottles. And on those bottles you may just well see the name Weston's - the same pharmacy that is referenced in The Last of Us Part 2.

You might properly remember Weston's as a shop with a safe in that you need to find the code for during The Seraphites chapter of the game. In any case, it's a chain of shops that definitely appears in both the Uncharted series as well as The Last of Us. Some fans might even take this to mean that they're alternative universes, or even perhaps the same universe.

There are actually a couple of other hints that might give fans a hint that the characters from Uncharted and The Last of Us exist in the same world. The first is that in Uncharted 3 there's a small reference in a newspaper headline to an outbreak of a deadly fungus - the very same that eventually infects the world in The Last of Us series. Not to mention that this newspaper can be found in a pub that appears in both games. It looks rather cosy in Uncharted but, is of course derelict and broken by the time Joel finds it in The Last of Us. Maybe by this time in 2024 we'll have found all the in-game references there are.
