Step aside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Cold War, an old friend has come knocking. As long as we can remember there have been three series tackle the idea of ground warfare, CoD, Battlefield, and Medal of Honor. The latter is now back with a VR adventure but you'll have to sit down to hear it's download space - 170 GB.

This new delve into the series is Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond, and unlike previous entries, it really throws you into the fray; almost literally with its VR perspective. But wait, you might ask, 170GB and 340GB are not the same number are they? You're right, they're not. Although the game will take up 170GB of space once snuggled nicely in your system, the installation process needs at least 340GB. This means you'll probably want an SSD dedicated to the game so you don't end up deleting half your Steam library.

The entire minimum system requirements are as follows (according to Polygon):

  • Intel i7 9700K (or comparable AMD)
  • 16 GB DDR4 RAM
  • Nvidia GTX 2080 or higher
  • 340+ GB of space to install; 170 GB once installed; SSD or NVMe recommended

This installment in the series is based in World War II where you play an OSS agent working to sabotage adversaries movements from behind enemy lines. We don't know how much it follows 1999's Medal of Honor as of yet, but if you enjoyed the game back then, you're probably sure to enjoy this VR take on the title.

The team at Respawn have taken the stories of veterans still alive today and done their best to recreate some of their memories within the new game. They brought the veterans back to the fields they fought on just to hear their thoughts and making a documentary in the process. Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is out December 10.
