Cosplayer Builds Life Size Razor Crest From 'The Mandalorian'

Cosplayers just keep upping the game, don't they? These days I see new characters in games, series, movies, and think to myself - how the heck are cosplayers going to tackle this one then? The Star Wars universe is perfect to give cosplayers a challenge. The sci-fi franchise is filled to the brim with aliens, robots, tech, and more for fans to interpret and, well, if getting a costume right was hard enough by itself - what about making a huge replica of the Razor Crest to match?

If you've been following along with The Mandalorian (no spoilers I promise) you probably know all about the Razor Crest by now. It's the old ship that Mando pilots which is both janky and always getting broken, but also ideal for the work of a bounty hunter because it's so old it can often go undetected. The ship takes a battering time and time again throughout the series, a bit like the Millennium Falcon does, but Mando finds someone to help him put it back together again.

The Razor Crest at this point is a character all of its own, which is this cosplay depicting Mando, Baby Yoda, and a huge Crest replica is incredible. Created by Just Ayaal - this project builds an almost one-to-one prop ship that Mando would certainly be happy with. The cosplaying team put some heavy-duty work into the project as you can see in their YouTube videos.

A few short clips show a little of the construction process of the Razor Crest, but the final photos of the cosplay are just stupendous. Although it's not exactly the size that Mando's ship is - it's a little smaller but still big enough for someone to stand in - the forced perspective of having Mando near the camera really amplifies how amazing the entire set up is. It's a ship Mando would be proud to pilot, I'm sure.
