‘The Matrix Resurrections’ Trailer Has Just Dropped And It's Awesome

It's finally here. After all this time, after all these years, Keanu Reeves and Neo are back for another Matrix adventure. And you know what, it's not exactly what we expected. The first proper trailer for The Matrix Resurrections has come out after the teasers from earlier this week and it looks just as gravity-defying and bombastic as we thought it might. But with one change - Neo has been taking the blue pill. Yeah wild, right?

The new trailer for The Matrix Resurrections has just dropped and fans are already scouring the footage to find out what we can about the movie. Neo looks like a different person after all these years - disorientated and confused at what's going on around him. It's perhaps an unexpected beginning to the film but of course, it returns to the gun-blazing, material arts-fighting movie that all the previous editions got to be too.

Here is the first official trailer for The Matrix Resurrections...

Looks like a good time right? There is the typical joke within the Matrix community that the second and third film were trash compared to the first. And though that might be harsh, as the second and third are at least okay in many people's opinions, there is a lot riding on Resurrections to bring the series back to its original glory.

Of course, The Matrix Resurrections will see the return of Keanu Reeves as Neo but we'll also see Carrie-Anne Moss return as Trinity. The cast also contains Jessica Henwick (Nymeria Sand in Game of Thrones) and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Candyman) as part of the main cast. Lana Wachowski also returns as a writer and director.

We'll be excited to see how the film turns out when it releases in cinemas on December 22, 2021.
