The Mountain From 'Game Of Thrones' Lost 100 Pounds And Is Still Shredded

We’re never gonna pick a fight with a guy called ‘Thor’

Actor and professional exceedingly strong person, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, has posted a video showing how he's lost a pretty incredible 50 kilograms - or around 110 pounds. Which is, you might wonder, relevant, why? Apart from good for him, of course. Well, this same actor and professional incredibly powerful human man is best known as The Mountain from Game of Thrones - and the whole deal with The Mountain was that he was huge. Now? Not so much.

As Cinemablend reports, the actor and professional exceptionally muscular native of Iceland has been training to become a boxer - and that's meant shedding a lot of the bulk that served the six-feet-and-nine-inches fellow fantastically well for both strongest man competitions and the role of The Mountain.

Also known by fans as 'Thor' Björnsson, the actor and absolute-heckin'-unit of a flesh-and-blood specimen posted a video to YouTube titled, "HOW I EAT AND TRAIN EVERY DAY" - and yes, the all-caps are his, and we're not changing them for fear of him showing up at our door and requesting that we don't mess with his stuff. In it, we get to see how impossibly ripped he now looks, while getting a guide through his menu for any given day.

For starters: eggs, chicken, smoothie. A little later: beef and white rice, with a side of greens. For meal three, it's more chicken, this time with potatoes and more greens. The man says he's not a huge fan of chicken which probably doesn't make his diet ideal, but, the results can't be questioned. Come meal four, it's onto salmon with more greens and rice ("I like this meal a lot," he says). Meal five is mush in a bowl that looks like baby food, and he asks viewers to guess what it is, before revealing the ingredients. I can confirm: it's very much like baby food, only with added whey protein.

And obviously, there's a lot of hardcore working out in the day, too - it's not all eating. More's the pity, else we'd all be doing this. Also, how cute are his kids? Very, is what. Then again, babies are always cute, when you get to hand them back to someone else once the noise and the stink starts. In Game of Thrones-related content, here are some games to scratch the same itch as the HBO TV show; and its forthcoming spin-off, House of the Dragon, is in production now.
