I'm not sure whether we should all be surprised that a meme has become an action figure or that it took this long to become one. We're all familiar with the sad Wolverine meme, I'm sure someone has sent it to you, you've scrolled past it, or maybe you even made one yourself. In any case, no matter how you came across this legendary meme, it has now been made into a physical toy that you can purchase if you like.
As reported by IGN, this San Diego Comic-Con exclusive brings one of Wolverine's most iconic moments in the X-Men: The Animated Series to life. Mondo has recreated a scene where poor ol' Wolverine stares sadly at a picture, thinking about his huge crush on Jean Grey.
We're so close to seeing mutants officially part of the MCU as Deadpool and Korg made a crossover for Free Guy...
This image has gone on to take on a life of its own as a symbol for when people are wistfully thinking of a future where they get something they desperately want. It could be, um I don't know, Overwatch 2 or perhaps a particular drop in an MMO like World of Warcraft. Anything you desperately need, just put it in the little picture frame and boom, you have yourself a meme.
:zap:Wolverine, the first-ever ⅙ figure from X-Men: The Animated Series, will be available for pre-order in this #SDCC Special Edition on Friday, July 23rd at 12PM CT, for #ComicConAtHome2021https://t.co/eV6402sPhq pic.twitter.com/AVqHHZEaLS

The figurine doesn't only come with the option of being sad Wolverine (though I'd argue it's the best), you could place and position him any way you like with additional pieces. The figurine includes: "Limited Edition Sad Masked Head, Neutral Masked Head, Angry Masked Head, Logan Unmasked Head, Morph Head, Picture Frame with Scott and Jean Photo, and a Thanksgiving Turkey Leg." I don't know how a turkey leg can be holiday specific but there you go.
Alas, this is also a very exclusive figurine, specific to San Diego Comic-Con 2021. The 1/6 figure will be available for $200 on Mondo's online shop this Friday (July 23) at 10am PT/1pm ET/6pm BST so it's important to catch it while it's still available otherwise they're certainly going to be snapped up by other collectors.
