If your to-be-played pile is looking a little thin these days, here's some good news - the SEGA Steam Golden Week is here, offering savings on a range of SEGA classics, including Shenmue I and II, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Binary Domain, and Yakuza 0.

With a little more time on our hands, SEGA's hoping you might be on the lookout for a new favourite game. Consequently, a whole slew of Japanese classics are up for grabs with heavy discounts - from 33 to 80 per cent off - including games from the Yakuza, Shenmue, and Valkyria Chronicles franchises.

"Feeling bored?" SEGA asks. "Get up to 85% off amazing titles like Shenmue I & II, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Binary Domain, Yakuza 0 and many more!"

There are also sizeable savings to be had on Catherine, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Super Monkey Ball, and Binary Domain, too, amongst many others.

Interested? Yup, me too. For more, head to the sale page for the full details. You only have a week, so don't hang about if you're keen.

On the subject of SEGA classics, Mike recently delved into the latest Streets of Rage 4. In the GAMINGbible review, Mike awarded it an excellent 8/10, writing: "It can't be overstated that this is an experience that won't be as rich, as rewarding, as exciting to younger players as it will be to those who were raised on the Mega Drive. But for anyone with fond memories of this genre at its peak, on home consoles and in arcades throughout the 1990s, it's unlikely you'll play a better game of its kind than Streets of Rage 4 in 2020."

And for fans of SEGA's mascot, Sonic? We recently shared our SEGA nerd's guide to the best Sonic the Hedgehog games. As Mike explains, the story of Sonic's origin is a good one - did you know he wasn't even a hedgehog originally? Mind. Blown. But ignore all that for now; we've simply ranked every classic and 3D platformer sporting Sonic's name. "No racers, no fighters, no pinball and no arcade-only trackball monstrosities. Just console platformers, over the years, from 1991 to today - well, to the most recent Sonic games, anyway. Let's go... fast!"
