You've Never Seen 'The Witcher 3' Bathtub Scene Like This Before

You've Never Seen 'The Witcher 3' Bathtub Scene Like This Before

You know us at GAMINGbible, we love a good remake. Anything that we were familiar with as kids or teens reinvented to look all shiny and new is fantastic fun, but we're also pretty partial to a demake too. What's a demake? Well, it's simple, take a game and then recreate it to look like it was made a decade or two ago - easy right?

Previously we've talked about how much we loved a Bloodborne demake that's in the works, but today we're on the topic of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and this hilarious demake of the bathtub scene.

Even if you haven't played The Witcher 3 you're probably at least familiar with the image of Geralt of Rivia sat in a wooden bathtub, in a steamy (literally) scene. It's not a spoiler to say this is one of the very first things you see in the game. It's what gamers were introduced to CD Projekt's world with and it has stuck in gamers' consciousness ever since. Now, this little demake animation reimagines the scene if it was both sketch comedy and for the original PlayStation.

Made by developer Anders Lundbjörk, this The Witcher 3 scene is just a delight, from Geralt calling Triss a waifu to trying to play Gwent with literally anything that moves. It's, of course, not exactly accurate to the original scene, but somehow it feels like it really encapsulates what the game is like in 69 seconds. Nice.

What a good way to honour the legendary graphics of the PlayStation 1, the first scene of one of the best RPGs of all time, and good ol' meme culture in one little neat package. The only downside is that the animation has reminded me that I haven't played any of my 20 games of Gwent today, want a match? No? That's fair.
