Mountain Dew has revealed a real and really ridiculous Mountain Dew body pillow, so after an intense gaming session, you could cuddle up to the bountiful beverage in the bedroom.
Let's cut to the chase here; we've all considered it, but the logistics simply haven't worked out. Pulling a chilled bottle of Mountain Dew from the fridge and snuggling up to it causes unpleasantly clammy condensation on the two of you. Alternatively, grabbing one from the cupboard does away with the condensation conundrum, but the drink becomes warmer and warmer. No one wants a tepid Mountain Dew. It's in the name, for goodness sake. Cans of the stuff are also a no-go, seeing as aluminium is overall weaker than plastic, and you don't want to roll over and crush it. A sticky situation for everyone involved, to be sure.

Fortunately, the finest minds over at Mountain Dew have heard our prayers, and now, gamers from all over the world will be able to be as snug as a bug with a bottle of their favourite beverage. It's an over a metre tall and half a metre wide copy of the iconic drink bottle, made from polyester, and it is apparently irresistibly soft to the touch. "The Dew Body Pillow is a larger-than-life replica of a Mountain Dew bottle, perfect for those cold, winter nights when all you need is the comfort of your Mountain Dew to give you those warm, fuzzy feelings," read the press release.
Though it's not on sale at the moment, it will be available through the Mountain Dew store which offers an enviable range of themed products. Apparel includes a pocket tee, a beanie, a trucker hat, and socks, all adorned with the brand's logo. That's almost a whole outfit there, so, I'm looking forward to when the neon green Mountain Dew pantaloons are unveiled to the public.
The "Dew Gear" collection has a tasteful black and green gym bag, a backpack with green camouflage patterning, and "The Big Bold Book Of Mtn Dew Recipes." These "deliciously charged creations" feature classic dishes like cherry pie, cupcakes, salsa verde, and grilled cheese, each with a twist thought up by fans themselves.
Well. Each to their own, as the saying goes, and keep an eye out for announcements in March about the body pillow, according to a representative for the company. One last thing: I have a theory that the Venn diagram of those who want a Mountain Dew body pillow and those who 100%'d OnlyCans might be a circle.
