'Thor: Love And Thunder' Set Photos Confirm Unexpected Cameo

If the last few years of Marvel movies have taught us anything, it's that anyone can show up anywhere at any time. Iron Man played a major role in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Doctor Strange and Hulk popped up in Thor: Ragnarok. Hell, even Howard The Duck made a brief cameo at the end of the first Guardians Of The Galaxy. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of endless possibility, mostly because Disney owns pretty much everything now.

Even so, it's always fun to see which famous faces will pop up in future Marvel projects. We already know that Chris Pratt's Star Lord will be making a brief appearance in the upcoming Thor: Love And Thunder, but he's far from the only big name joining Christ Hemsworth's God of Thunder for the sequel. If you want to head into this film relatively unspoiled, now would be the time to stop reading.

Are you sure you want to continue? Okay, spoilers below this picture of Thor's handsome smiling face.

According to a handful of new set photos that recently surfaced online, the troupe of Asgardian actors that first appeared in Ragnarok are set to make a reappearance. For those that might not remember, the last Thor movie featured a fantastic scene in which a group of actors performed a brief re-enactment of the events of Thor: The Dark World for Odin (who was actually Loki in disguise - it was a whole thing). Brilliantly, Matt Damon was the actor playing fake Loki, while Chris Hemsworth's brother Liam took on the role of fake Thor.

It looks as if Damn and Hemsworth are set to reprise their roles as fake Loki and fake Thor for another performance, one that seems like it'll go back over the events of Ragnarok for us. Of course, any retelling of Ragnarok needs to cast Hela, the Goddess of Death, and here it looks like none other than Melissa McCarthy will be stepping into the role.

Take a look at the trio below:

Thor: Love And Thunder isn't expected until 2022 at the absolute earliest, but I'm already 99% sure the scene Melissa McCarthy has just filmed is going to be a highlight.
