Titanfall 2 has reportedly been compromised, and players are warning one another to uninstall the game and completely avoid launching it until the issue has been resolved.
Developer Respawn Entertainment confirmed on Twitter that it is aware of and looking into a "security vulnerability" affecting the game. The developer later clarified its engineers believe it to be a "simple exploit" that can be used to "crash games", adding that it does not currently believe there are "any more serious risks to affected players or their machines".
This comes after months of DDoS attacks on both Apex Legends and Titanfall 2, at least some of which are believed to have come from "fans" trying to "save Titanfall". The motives behind this latest attack are currently unknown.

Reports of this Titanfall 2 breach first started circulating late last night when community member 'DirectXeon' instructed players to "please uninstall the game and do not launch it".
"There are reports of a bug in the game that allow local code execution from the server that could leave both your computer and your console vulnerable by launching the game," they wrote.
They added that, as a "worst case scenario", hackers could gain access to your PC and install malware. It is worth noting, however, that we've yet to see any evidence of this. The most recent update from Respawn, as above, is that it's a simple exploit that doesn't pose a more serious risk.

At the time of writing, Respawn has provided no further updates in regards to when the issue might be resolved. For now, I probably would steer clear of Titanfall 2. Just to be safe.
