Tons Of Upcoming 'COD: Warzone' Modes Uncovered In Game Files

Plenty on the horizon.

It looks like Call Of Duty: Warzone is getting a ton of new content in the not-so-distant future. A recent datamine of the battle royale's latest 15GB update has uncovered no less than 13 incoming modes for the free-to-play game, including a "classic" Battle Royale mode.

As posted on r/ModernWarzone (via VGC) Warzone's recent patch contains references to some pretty exciting future content. Whether or all these new features will be released as part of the game's Season 3 plan remains to be seen, but this discovery does explain why this week's apparently sparse update was so massive.

Among the new modes is a "Classic BR", which sounds as if it'll disable the Gulag, cash, loadouts, and respawns for a more intense experience. There's also a mode called "Mo Gulag Mo Problems", in which players "dead players go to Gulag until final 3 circles, NO buybacks."

Some other interesting additions include "BYOL", which will let you start with your own custom loadout, and "Non Stop", a mode where the gas is constantly closing in. "PewPew" will introduce high damage pistols and explosive physics, and "Run Like Hell" will make it so that gas circle moves faster than a running player.

I also like the sound of "Bottom Line", a mode without a Gulag, but where players will immediately respawn if they're killed while holding enough cash. There's also "Realism" which will apparently offer players the chance to enjoy the battle royale with a "minimal HUD".

Finally, there are references to "Infinite Gulag", "Most Wanted", "One shot", "Stimulus", and "Inflation Redeployment". There are no descriptions for these last five, but I think it's pretty obvious from the name of each mode what they're all about. Each of these playlists also make reference to the long-rumoured BR Duos mode, which is widely expected to be released as part of Season 3 of Warzone.

It's also likely that most - if not all - of these 13 modes will be limited-time deals only, presumably rotating in and out with each new update. As long as none of them come at the expense of the standard Solo, Trios, or Quads modes... we all know how the Warzone community feels every time Infinity Ward suddenly removes one of those without warning.

In other Warzone news, Infinity Ward has done a swift about-turn and removed Most Wanted Contracts from the game just over a day after introducing them. Fans weren't exactly happy about the new inclusion, though it's unclear if Infinity Ward's rapid response was down to this, or its own concerns over the feature.
