Looking forward to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 And 2 - Remastered? Of course you are. While we're still a way off from the September 4th release date, the good news is that we'll be able to get our first taste of the long-awaited remake a little earlier than that.

Activision and developer Vicarious Visions will be making the Warehouse Demo available to players on August 14th. As you can imagine, the demo will let you skate around the iconic Warehouse level from the original game and get a feel for the tricks and handling. It'll be a good opportunity to see how true to the original games Vicarious Visions has been, so if you're curious about the way the game'll control, definitely check it out.

To get access to the Warehouse Demo, you'll need to pre-order Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 And 2 - Remastered on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC. After that, you should be able to jump in and play the teaser on August 14th, though Activision has said this date may be "subject to change".

In addition to the demo news, Activision also confirmed a handful of new skaters that will be joining Tony and the gang in the remake. We already knew that every single skater from the original games would appear, but it's now been confirmed that Nyjah Huston, Leo Baker, Leticia Bufoni, Aori Nishimura, Lizzie Armanto, Shane O'Neill, Riley Hawk, and Tyshawn Jones are getting in on the fun.

"Modern-day skateboarding originated from a generation of skaters who grew up playing the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games," said Michelle Bresaw, Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at Activision.

"The world-class pro skaters we're adding to this remaster took the tricks and combos from the video game and made them possible in real life. We're proud that the remaster will represent the skate culture landscape today with a diverse roster of skaters that will appeal to any gamer."

Given that Pro Skater has a rich history of bizarre secret characters, including Shrek, Wolverine, and Iron Man, I imagine that the remake will feature one or two surprise appearances. Given Activision owns Crash and Spyro, I wonder if maybe they'll show up in some capacity?

Personally, I'm still hoping that Vicarious Visions has made sure Spider-Man will still be in the game as a secret character, just as he was in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. I'm not holding my breath though. There's probably some kind of rights issue there preventing him from showing up again.
