Trademark Filing Reveals New 'Jurassic World: Primal Ops' Game

But details are thin

A new trademark filing seems to reveal that we're getting yet another Jurassic Park game sometime in the future. Jurassic World: Primal Ops is a game we are yet to know a lot about, but its appearance may be welcome to those of you who have been dreaming of a more action-packed dinosaur adventure, rather than the management sim-style Jurassic World Evolution 2.

Universal has trademarked Jurassic World: Primal Ops with the purpose of using the name for a video game of as-yet-unknown scope. PCGamesN reports that the website Trademarkia has documented a new property from the company, and revealed a few limited details about what it could be.

We spoke to actor Jeff Goldblum about his role in the upcoming Jurassic World Evolution 2...

The description on the site says: "Downloadable interactive multi-media software for playing games; downloadable software in the nature of a mobile application for playing games and accessing entertainment content for use with computers, portable handheld digital electronic communication devices, mobile devices, wired and wireless communication devices, and video game consoles; downloadable computer game software for wireless and electronic mobile devices, mobile phones." It's interesting that the document mentions both mobile and consoles because now we're unsure where it's going to be heading.

YouTuber Klayton Fioriti has made a video about the details we know and the theories currently circulating as a result of them. The Ops part of the title at least hints that there is a mission element to the game. Some think this means we'll be seeing a return to the shooter-style Jurassic Park titles, or perhaps a situation in which a covert operation will have to be carried out.

Either way, more Jurassic Park is always likely to be fun, and if virtual dinosaurs are your thing it's worth looking forward to Jurassic World Evolution 2, which is released on November 9 for PC as well as Xbox and Playstation consoles.
