Streamer Kelly Jane 'kjanecaron' Caron has been banned on Twitch following a recent stream in which she kissed one of her friends by the pool.
For the past few months streamers and viewers have found themselves divided by the recent "hot tub meta". Some argue that the meta is a fine extension of the popular streaming platform for those that want it. Others disagree, believing that many of these streams fall foul of Twitch's policies on sexual content and that they shouldn't be allowed.

The debate (which still rages on) essentially keeps coming back to whether or not there's anything inherently sexual about a woman in a bikini sat in a hot tub or by the pool. Regardless of your view, the backlash ultimately led to Twitch creating an entirely new category called 'Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches'.

Despite this new category, Twitch is still taking action against streamers who it feels are behaving inappropriately while on camera. In a now-deleted clip, Caron kisses one of her friends for a few seconds while wearing a bikini. It was confirmed earlier today (June 9) that she's been hit with a "one-day suspension" from Twitch.
As reported by Dexerto, the streamer explained in an Instagram story that she originally assumed the ban was something to do with a sexually suggestive pink candle that was on camera during one of her streams. She has since uploaded another video admitting that it may have been a result of "kissing a homie on stream".
For now, it remains unclear if this ban was a direct result of the kiss, or some other aspect of Caron's streams.
