Naughty Dog wound down the story of Nathan Drake with Uncharted 4: A Thief's End back in 2016. They decided it was time for the explorer to retire and as much as we respect that decision, we miss him. I really crave some of his dry wit, wild adventures, and courageous attitude again, no other game character is quite like Nathan. However, this fan-made project revives Drake one last time for an all-new mission.
Uncharted: The Hidden Kingdom is an audio drama created by fans that comes in two parts and takes us on yet another Nathan Drake mission. Set between the second and third games, the synopsis on the website sets the scene. "When Sully asks Nate for help with a "little problem", the implications are far greater than anything either of them could have imagined. Trailed by a delusional psychopath, could ancient clues from Arthurian lore lead to an incredible treasure or their ultimate doom? Join Chloe, Sully, Nate and Elena as they face a heart-stopping adventure on a forgotten island!"
Though Naughty Dog has wound down the story of Nathan Drake, the film interpretation is just beginning and we've only seen just a touch of footage from the project that you can see below...
The Hidden Kingdom project features all your faves from the original games, but with a new voice acting cast and follows the established lore of the series. Though not officially endorsed by Naughty Dog or Sony, Emily Rose who played Elena Fisher in the Uncharted games has supported the creativity of the project, sending more fans to give it a listen.
