Valorant pro Jay "Sinatraa" Won was accused of sexual abuse and emotionally manipulative behaviour by his ex-girlfriend, and he has refuted the claims.

This is a warning for mentions of sexual abuse and violence.

Cleo "cle0h" Hernandez told her story in a nine-page document uploaded to Google Docs on March 9th, and it comprises her own recollection of their relationship and screenshots of messages shared between the two. The details of the document may be triggering for some, so please proceed with caution. Though Hernandez started writing this document in April of last year, she explained that her reluctance to speak out about Won was owing to "the way that women in our community are treated when they try to talk about being hurt by prominent figures," and added that she is "still scared of him even after all this time."

In their nine-month relationship, Hernandez claimed that Won would pressure her into sex and this would be extremely painful for her. When she asked him to stop, he'd refuse, and the aftermath would "[leave] her crying in the bathroom while [he] slept." The injuries would require her to seek medical help, but still Won "disregarded [her] pain." She has also attached an audio recording of the two of them having sex where Won doesn't accept her continued requests for him to stop. "I remember one day ... he wanted to have sex. I didn't have an excuse, [so] I just let it happen and laid there and stared at the ceiling with him on top of me, his weight crushing my chest. I think about staring at that ceiling every day," she said.

As well as the sexual violence, Hernandez described the emotional manipulation she suffered in her relationship with Won, such as tracking her location, accusing her of cheating, and making her beg him not to break up with her. In response to this news, Riot Games has initiated an official investigation and banned Won from this weekend's Valorant Champions Tour. His own team, the Sentinels, have also distanced themselves from Won and are again carrying out their investigation into this story.

Won denies Hernandez's allegations of abuse and said that he "never assaulted her in any way" in a TwitLonger post. "It is clear from Cleo's recent post that she recalls our relationship differently than I do. What we do agree on is that it was unhealthy for the both of us," explained the pro yesterday, and added that he is "fully cooperating with investigations."
