The first trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage dropped yesterday, marking an incredibly important moment for Spider-Man fans everywhere: The live-action debut of Cletus Kasady, AKA Carnage.
Carnage has long been a fan-favourite Spider-Man villain since his first appearance all the way back in 1991. A spawn of Eddie Brock's Venom symbiote, Carnage latches onto to derange serial killer Kasday, creating a monster with all the power of Venom (arguably more) and none of the morality. He is terrifying.

Fans will remember that Woody Harrelson made a brief appearance as Kasady at the very end of Venom, teasing the arrival of Carnage for the upcoming sequel. Unfortunately, the intensity of this cameo was somewhat undercut by a ridiculous ginger wig that made Harrelson look more like a Mrs Browns Boys tribute act than a hardened killer set to bond with an alien monster.
The good news is the new trailer shows Harrelson unencumbered by any such follicle aid, and able to show us just how utterly chaotic his Carnage is going to be. Judging from what the fans are saying, I think this live-action Carnage is a definite hit.

I found the first Venom movie to be surprisingly enjoyable, so I was already on board. But also Woody Harrelson is playing Carnage... So like... That's gonna be FASCINATING to watch. https://t.co/LQbda4IG2L

Woody Harrelson as Carnage would've been perfect casting in 1995 and it's perfect casting now.
