'Warzone' Cheaters Have Started Using Aimbots To Headshot Player Spawns Before They Land

They're getting worse.

It's no secret that hackers in Call Of Duty: Warzone are getting bolder with each passing day. While we'd previously believed that Activision had found a few ways to get on top of the problem, it's the cheaters who are in fact finding new ways to get around Activision.

Just last week, numerous players over on the Activision Support forums were complaining about having been banned for no apparent reason. This, it transpired, came as part of a fresh attempt to get hackers under control. The problem was that the banhammer came down indiscriminately and affected innocent players, all while Reddit called out blatant cheaters who were continuing to play unhindered.

Earlier today, we reported on popular Warzone streamer TimTheTatman and his spontaneous live interview with a self-confessed Call Of Duty hacker. After TimTheTatman caught this hacker not so subtly using an aimbot to win games, he decided to spectate for a while in an attempt to understand why this cheater was so cool with playing dishonestly.

TimTheTatman discovered that the hacker had been using the account to cheat for over six months, and that they didn't seem to care one bit about getting caught. As it was only an alternate account, they clearly felt confident in doing whatever the hell they wanted - including continuing to cheat on TimTheTatman's stream, despite the host making it clear that he was going to report them.

It's a pretty fascinating video, and you can watch it below (or via this link). However, one of the most shocking things about the encounter was the shameless way in which the hacker started using the aimbot to headshot new player spawns right out of the sky, before they even had a chance to land.

It's always been possible to take shots at enemy players as they parachute back into the game from the Gulag, but pulling off a headshot on one of these players? Nigh-on impossible. The fact that aimbots can now apparently hone straight in on the heads of any new spawns and take them out is really concerning.

Getting killed by a cheater is frustrating enough at the best of times, but to be taken out by one - with zero warning - as soon as you've respawned? That's properly awful. No wonder the Call Of Duty community is becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of progress on getting on top of hackers.
