Raven Software has responded to the discovery that the MG 82 LMG is much too powerful for Call of Duty: Warzone, and fans will be thrilled to hear the team's thoughts on the weapon.

With the arrival of Season 4 of the extremely popular battle royale, the newest battle pass offered a range of goodies to unlock. The two new weapons are the MG 82 LMG and the C58 Assault Rifle, gained after reaching Tier 15 and Tier 30 respectively. When it comes to brand new blueprints, there are some real steals here, with Monochrome for Assault Rifles, Ancient Scarab for SMGs, Ancient Spear for Sniper Rifles and High Stakes for LMGs. The very first Ultra-Rare Operator skin in the game is offered in the battle pass - the Iridescent Jackal skin creates a "mesmerizing" light pattern on the jumpsuit and mask, turning players into quite the spectacle. Season 4 has also added the fastest vehicle in the game into play, and the Dirt Bike will enable competitors to get out of dodge as quickly as possible, or pull off some unbelievable eliminations while zipping across the map.

While the overwhelming majority of players wish to prove their skill in the game through their own abilities, there will always be some who want to cheat their way to the top. Thankfully, this streamer has no time for their antics and schools them in their silliness. Check it out here.

All sounding fine and dandy thus far? Well, you're wrong! That aforementioned MG 82 LMG has been driving the Warzone player base round the bend due to its ability to wipe people off the face of the Earth in mere seconds. This weapon has the highest fire rate in its class and while it's understandable that players would choose it over other options, it doesn't make for a very varied game. "I love when there's a broken gun but also agree that there shouldn't be one gun that's absolutely broken," said Ok-Self-2273 on Reddit. "How do you write paragraphs about healthy TTK in the patch notes but then release the MG82?" joked elispion.

This announcement from Raven Software will be music to the ears of people who have been mowed down with the weapon one too many times. "The MG 82 (BOCW) made one too many trips to the Pack-a-Punch machine before deploying to Verdansk. Element 115 is off limits in #Warzone, so we will be making an adjustment to this Weapon soon," said the developer in a post to Twitter. Well, you've got to credit Raven Software for acting quickly - the gun has only been available in Warzone for one day. Furthermore, no specific date was given for a fix, so the gun will remain in its current state until the next patch rolls out. If you're yet to give the MG 82 a whirl, then I'd hop to it before it's nerfed.
