I'm sure you've heard at this point that some of bunkers in Call Of Duty: Warzone have finally opened. There's a lot going on in these secret rooms, including rare loot and even more mysteries that hint towards the future of the game. It should come as no surprise, then, that players are desperate to get in and see the bunkers for themselves.
The only problem is that it's not that easy to get inside and take your very own tour of these underground complexes. First, players need to get their hands on a keycard, which is far from a guaranteed drop. Still, that's nothing compared to the work it takes to get inside Bunker 11, the biggest and best of them all.
Bunker 11 involves some pretty serious legwork, especially considering you've also got to navigate a massive map where over 100 other players are trying to kill each other. You need to track down one of the game's ringing phones, decode the message, and then visit three more phones in a specific order. Doing all of this gets you some pretty incredible loot, but it's a real pain.
That's why I can't work out if it's evil or brilliant - or both - that some players have started camping out by Bunker 11, ready to take out unsuspecting squads as they reach the end of their long quest to claim the prizes within the bunker. Imagine finally getting in there, only for some other player to swoop right in and murder you, taking your hard-earned winnings.
That's exactly what Reddit users like VeryOldYoda and Dry-House are doing. As spotted by Polygon, these fiendish monsters saw their chances and took them. VeryOldYoda saw a squad arriving at Bunker 11 via chopper. Without thinking twice, the bastard blew the entire team up with an RPG and claimed Bunker 11.
Dry-House was no better. Upon hearing the doors to Bunker 11 open, they jumped into a jeep and drove right through the underground area, murdering the two players who'd just gotten inside. I would be furious if that had happened to me. But I also know I'd definitely do what VeryOldYoda and Dry-House did if I had the chance.
Clearly players need to be a bit more frosty if they're trying to get into Bunker 11. Some people are obviously starting to realise that they can let their enemies do all of the hard work and then jump in at the end to take the loot. Do not give them that chance.
The good news is that the bunkers might not be around for that much longer. Infinity Ward is teasing a major event for Warzone today, and a lot of fans think the map is getting a major shakeup by the end of it.
