Last week, Ubisoft announced that it'd be giving away a free PC copy of the criminally underrated Watch Dogs 2 during its not-E3 Ubisoft Forward presentation.

If you missed last night's show, or if you were one of the many people who ran into technical difficulties while trying to claim your free copy, we've got some good news for you: You can go right ahead and grab the game for free now, regardless of whether or not you tuned into the event.

I'm not entirely sure how much longer this offer will be available, but at the time of writing it's still possible to head over to this web page and log in with your Ubisoft account to nab Watch Dogs 2. I didn't watch the stream myself, but I just headed to the link and registered a new account myself to check if it still works, and I received a notification telling me my free copy of the game will be available soon.

Ubisoft's decision to make the game free for everyone came after it transpired that many of those who tuned into the event were unable to register for the freebie. Due the sheer number of viewers trying to claim a copy of the game, folk were met with perpetual loading screens and little progress.

Soon after the livestream, Ubisoft tweeted out to reassure fans that all all rewards would be delivered as promised, even if you couldn't log in successfully at the time.

Again, I have absolutely no idea how long Watch Dogs 2 will be free for, so now is the time to make your move. It takes about two minutes to click the link and register a Ubisoft account if you don't already have one. Your reward will be one of the most interesting open world video games of the last few years. Not too shabby.

Watch Dogs 2's digital recreation of San Francisco is a wonderfully entertaining playground with loads to see and do. If you're at all interested in the upcoming Watch Dogs Legion and want some idea of what the upcoming game has in store, I urge you to check out Watch Dogs 2. At the low cost of nothing, you really don't have anything to lose.
