Okay, I'll admit it, I've bought into the hype of season two of The Witcher, and I can't wait to see what Netflix's fantasy show has in store for us. The series finished filming last week as cast and crew finally, finally got all the shots they needed to make the show and now we've got just a little more behind the scenes footage to celebrate the crew wrapping up.

You probably know the story by now of how difficult this process has been for the team. From delays because of positive covid tests, to Cavill's injury, to casting changes - there seems to have been a million and one difficulties for the crew to overcome. But now it's done, they've pulled through and The Witcher season two is now in post-production. Congratulations to all involved.

This short video from Netflix celebrates the fact that filming is now complete by giving us all just a taste, a little bite of what we'll be seeing when the series does finally release. Hosted by showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the video starts with Henry Cavill expressing his gratitude to the cast and crew for all their hard work during this troubling time.

Lauren talks about how long the filming process of the season was, the team was in the filming process for over a year, and it took 158 days of shooting to complete the project - and many of those days had crews running simultaneously to get everything done. Not to mention the 1200 crew members it took to get everything just as the team had planned.

Now, the series is in post-production we can start looking forward to the series release which is hopefully going to be sometime later this year. There is no confirmation for that yet but I'm just hoping that we'll be seeing more of Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri, and the rest of the expanding cast sooner rather than later.
