Wreak Havoc As An Asshole Bird In 'Pigeon Simulator'

Wreak Havoc As An Asshole Bird In 'Pigeon Simulator'

Peace was never an option.

If you've ever wanted to rain down buckets of crap on your enemies while slowly bringing humanity to its knees, Pigeon Simulator might just be the game for you.

Some of you may remember a version if Pigeon Simulator which started life back in 2019 as a prototype demo from Bossa Studios. While this early build was ultimately shelved, it's since been picked up by a studio called HahJak, who plan to work it into a full game and release it on Steam. As you can see from the trailer below, it looks exactly as chaotic as a game about being a pigeon should be.

"Play as the world's most notorious birds and help them in their quests for revenge, love, and world domination," reads the official Steam description. "Poop on everyone. Destroy everything. Join the Pigeon Revolution!

"Begin each life as a baby bird. Survive in the crazy circumstances you find yourself randomly born into. Explore, learn, and grow your Gene Pool. If you die, some of your DNA is passed on to your successors, making them stronger. Conquer one location at a time, through any means you can find, until you fulfill your destiny and make the entire planet your Pigeon Paradise."

Aside from pooping on all and sundry, Pigeon Simulator invites players to explore the world and screw around with its sandbox of neat tricks and unexpected powerups. One particularly memorable moment in the trailer sees our pigeon hero grow to the size of a small truck and start smashing up cars. And here I thought getting a little bit of creamy white poo on the windshield was the worst thing our feathered friend could do.

HakJak also promises a surprising amount of choice in how we approach Pigeon Simulator. We can, for example, destroy all humanity and return the land to Mother Nature. Or we could work to create a utopia in which bird and human lives in peace. We could simply fly away and start a new life somewhere else. Finally, and this one is my favourite, we can "turn everyone into mindless, half-bird zombies and live like a tyrant king". Sold.

Pigeon Simulator's release date is still TBA, but it'll hopefully be landing in Early Access on Steam sometime this year.
