Xbox Beautifully Shuts Down Gamers Trying To Fuel Console War

The Xbox social media team are quickly becoming some of my favourite people on the internet. Currently, they're sandwiched somewhere between the person that runs the Twitter account where they post a picture of a Possum every hour, and the admins that finally banned Donald Trump.

It's no secret that Xbox's big approach this generation is to make its games as accessible as possible for as many people as possible. That means releasing the cheaper Xbox Series S alongside the series X. It means announcing Xbox Game Pass for pretty much any device with a screen and an internet connection. And it means denouncing tired old console war bullshit at every turn.

Take a look at what else is next for Xbox below!

Over on Twitter, Xbox has been busy promoting PlayStation functionality with Game Pass and generally letting the world know that it's actually okay to play on whatever console you choose and leave others to do the same. But the internet is the internet, and there will always be those who head into the replies/comments just to crap on a certain console or company.

Xbox has a message for those boring old console war fighters: "To the people in our replies saying 'PS5 is better' The best console is the one you enjoy playing. Have fun!" Simple. Elegant. Effective. And you know what? Most of the world is finally starting to agree. It's amazing how quickly we can put aside console war nonsense when the people making said consoles stop fueling the arguments with sly digs and elbow prods along the way, isn't it?

I'd also like to point out that this Xbox team also recognises that the Nintendo GameCube is an incredible console and that Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is one of the best games out there, so yeah... they deserve all the love and praise they're getting right now.
