Xbox Exec Might Have Just Accidentally Confirmed A New Fallout Game

Though Bethesda hasn't confirmed it, the studio might be working on a new Fallout game, right now. When talking about Xbox Game Pass's aims to bring new games to the subscription service, an Xbox executive specifically mentioned Fallout - even though we haven't previously heard anything about a new title in the post-apocalyptic series.

This comes to us via a fresh interview with GamesRadar+, where Xbox's Head of Services, Ben Decker, may have accidentally confirmed that another Fallout game is in development. On the Gaming Leaks and Rumors subreddit, eagle-eyed user Mr_XemiReR realised that when talking about Xbox Game Pass, and new titles arriving on the platform, Decker mentions Fallout despite the fact that Bethesda hasn't yet revealed a new title.

Bethesda has made some excellent game worlds for us to explore in their franchises. Among the best is the world of Skyrim, so why not take a look at booking a virtual holiday there, right now...

The two other franchises Decker mentions in this context are Halo and Forza, both of which we know have games on the way. So, why mention Fallout out of the blue in the same sentence? Curious, right?

The full quote from the original interview is as follows:

"Fifty-five percent of those surveyed said the main reason that they joined [Game Pass] is to get new games at release - that day one content. That's why we made the investments that we have. We have 23 studios across Xbox and Bethesda, working on Halo, Forza, Fallout, and new IP that we haven't even talked about yet that is gonna blow your mind. We can deliver all of that into Game Pass on day one."

Of course, even without the hint of a new Fallout, this quote is exciting. Xbox is looking to keep releasing games from its expansive roster of studios onto Game Pass as soon as they're ready, including entirely new IP. This makes those titles more accessible than ever, as Xbox Game Pass gives players a huge variety to choose from, for a relatively small amount of money. If Xbox is committing to releasing more and more content to Game Pass, it's a win-win scenario for many gamers out there, with or without a new Fallout.

But let's be honest: we're absolutely hoping that this means there is a new Fallout, on the horizon. E3 is how many days away, now?
