A huge auction is coming up - and it has a host of very recognisable pop culture items ready to bid on. From June 1, Prop Store is opening up to display and will show off some of cinema's most iconic articles of clothing, props, and more so that you can get your hands on some silver screen history.

According to Comicbook, there will be over 1,200 lots showcasing items from a huge variety of franchises and films. The total amount of money expected to change hands from the Prop Store Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction is about $6 million. And perhaps the crown jewel in the collection is Indiana Jones' fedora from Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom which is expected to sell for up to $250,000.

If I was Harrison Ford, I would have nicked it at the end of filming - but here it is, up for sale for the price of a house (which, obviously, is the kind of money we all have lying around). Some of the other highlights of the auction include the Reverse Bear Trap from 2004's SAW ($60k), Harry Potter's glasses from Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2 ($50k), and both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker's Bladed Dueling Lightsabers from Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith ($50k each).

Other films represented include American Hustle, Top Gun, James Bond: Diamonds Are Forever, Batman (1989), and Terminator 2: Judgement Day. As you can see, there are a lot of really high-profile items on display at the auction, many of which you've seen on the big screen. If you're interested in getting your hands on them - or, like me, you simply want to look through a catalogue of items you can't afford - you can see the catalogue and register to enter the auctions here.
