Zombies Will Completely Overrun Verdansk By End Of 'Warzone' Season 2, Says YouTuber

We've known Outbreak has been coming to Warzone for a number of weeks now. From leaks to accidental reveals to hints, every CoD player and their dad has known that we'd be getting a new zombified mode at some point and now the outbreak has happened: zombies are infesting Verdansk.

Right now, the actual impact of the zombies on the game isn't huge. Indeed, it's perhaps a little underwhelming as pretty much the only place you'll encounter the undead is around the shipwreck of the Vodinoy. This ship has been moored on the bottom of the map and is the source of the zombies you'll be battling. However, there is one detail about this on the map you might have noticed. The Shipwreck on the image has been scratched out, signifying that the boat is overrun.

CharlieIntel reports that Geeky Pastimes, a YouTuber and Easter Egg hunter, has already theorised that although the outbreak is currently at a pretty low level, it's going to get much much worse as the season progresses. Fans think that the scratch marks are going to spread across the map over time, and Geeky might have come up with the best reasoning for this theory so far.

One machine on the map shows that there is a percentage of a process complete. Currently, on the screen, it says 5% - and as Geeky points out, there are 20 locations on the Verdansk map. One of 20 as a percentage is 5%, so it seems as the infection moves and crosses out the locations, this number will rise. Once it gets to 100%, who knows what will happen.

Many think it might be the beginning of the end. Time for a new map when this one gets infested - and perhaps a nuke will take it off the map? Perhaps a whole Fortnite situation will happen, where Warzone goes offline entirely for a while. It's an unclear future for Verdansk, but we're interested to see what Activision wants to do with Warzone next.
