God Of War fans want Kratos to take on Christianity next

Who’s reached the credits of God of War Ragnarök? I am officially part of that club as of about 10 minutes ago. What a game. It’s clear to see why God of War Ragnarök has nabbed 10 nominations at this year’s The Game Awards, including that prestigious ‘Game of the Year’ nomination. In fact, Ragnarök recently achieved its first GOTY accolade - beating perhaps its hottest competitor, Elden Ring.
Even though the credits have rolled, I can already see that God of War Ragnarök has so much content left for me to enjoy. This is a game that I’m going to be buried in for quite some time (and I’ve already hit the 35 hour mark). Since finishing the game, my mind keeps drifting back to the same question: What’s next for the franchise?

Warning: This is where the spoilers start. God of War Ragnarök has a pretty open ending. Kratos, Mimir, and Freya are left to rebuild the Nine Realms whilst Atreus is off to go giant hunting. We knew Ragnarök would wrap up the norse saga (although I could definitely see a small standalone Atreus spin-off happening). Presumably, at some point, something will arrive to once again shake up Kratos’ world and fans want him to take on Christianity.
As reported by GamesRadar, fans gathered over on Reddit to discuss the idea. GIANTkitty4 suggested there should “definitely [be] a fight with Uriel and the other Archangels,” whilst Hero-In-Theory added, “I would love to fight the Metatron, Michael, Lucifer, Azrael, Samael, the Four Horsemen. See Heaven and Hell and Eden. S**t would be dope.”
DefNotABirb suggested that Brok and Sindri could be replaced with Kane and Abel, plus user xenoreddit01 said, “I’d love it if kratos is somehow responsible for Lucifer falling from heaven.” You know, there might be something in this idea.
