Snoop Dogg Just Dropped Some Major Grand Theft Auto News

Well here we go

Grand Theft Auto fans have been waiting years for an update on the future of the franchise. So of course Snoop Dogg, out of the blue, just dropped the juiciest update we’ve had in quite some time.

The rapper just confirmed that fellow artist Dr. Dre is currently working on new music for an upcoming Grand Theft Auto game, presumably GTA VI

Take a look at some of the best GTA V wins and fails below!

Snoop Dogg dropped the news during an upcoming episode of the Rolling Stone Music Now Podcast. "I do know [Dr. Dre] is in the studio... I do know he's making great f***ing music. And some of his music is connected to the GTA game that's coming out,” he teased. “So I think that that will be the way that his music will be released, through the GTA video game."

Rolling Stone approached Rockstar Games for comment, but the company has predictably declined to confirm or deny.

While there’s a chance Snoop Dogg could be referring to Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, the fact the remastered collection launches in just a few weeks leads me to believe it’s probably not that. I’m also assuming/hoping the classic games will have their original soundtracks.

Far more likely is that Dr. Dre is composing new music for Grand Theft Auto Online or the in-development GTA VI. If it’s the latter, then we might just be closer to a reveal than we expected. According to a previous report, we’ll actually get our first look at the new Grand Theft Auto game when the remastered trilogy launches on November 11. We’ll find out for sure soon enough.
