A free GTA 5 download is available now

GTA V and GTA Online have been chugging along for close to a decade now, with only the faintest signs of a sequel on the horizon.

Fans have been patiently (by which I mean not patiently at all) waiting for an update on GTA VI for the past few years. Meanwhile, Rockstar Games continues to work away delivering substantial updates to GTA V's hugely popular Online counterpart.

Last month Rockstar dropped a massive San Andreas story expansion for GTA Online. Now a new free update for the game is available, and it comes packed with a ton of brand-new content - plus a few returning features.

Take a look at the San Andreas update below!

The new weekly update for GTA Online brings back armoured truck robberies, something we haven't seen in the open-world crime sim for ages. These robberies are exactly what you'd imagine them to be: you can stumble across trucks full of cash around Los Santos that can be blown open and picked clean.

The new update confirms that the trucks will now drop $50,000, making them a good way to earn cash fast.

As per the press release, other new features include double GTA$ and Rockstar Points on the game's Running Back mode, and triple on Tiny Racers. Issi Classic Races and Special Vehicle Races are also making a return.

Vehicle discounts include 40% off the Ocelot Swinger and Överflöd Imorgon, 30% off the Enus Deity, Cheval Taipan, and Mammoth Tula, and 20% off the Mammoth Streamer216. Gun Van Discounts? 30% off the Stun Gun and 40% off the Compact EMP Launcher for GTA+ Members

The new update is available to download for free now, so get stuck in and catch up with all the brand-new content this weekend. After all, it beats sitting in the dark waiting for GTA 6, doesn't it?
