GTA 6 massive map packed with multiple towns, cities and airports

GTA 6 massive map packed with multiple towns, cities and airports

A Grand Theft Auto 6 concept map has appeared online - and it's absolutely huge.

The wait for Grand Theft Auto VI may feel neverending but with each passing day, we do edge one step closer. We just don’t know how many steps we have left to go. Judging by the vast number of leaks in recent weeks though, we can’t be too far away from Rockstar Games’ full reveal.

Last year, Rockstar Games was targeted by a major cyber attack, during which over an hour’s worth of GTA VI development footage was leaked online, alongside source code and screenshots. In the months since, fans have poured over every scrap they can find - desperate to find out what exactly GTA VI will entail. It’s believed that GTA VI is on track to be the most expensive video game ever created, plus it’s thought that the map could extend far beyond Vice City (the rumoured setting according to the leak). One fan has created a concept map and if the real thing bears any resemblance, oh boy. We’re in for a treat.

You can play as Homelander from The Boys in GTA V thanks to this very cool mod.

This is a fan-made concept map, but it is based on information that has previously leaked. When this happened prior to GTA V’s release, the fan-made concept map was actually remarkably similar to the final map that ended up appearing in-game. The concept is the work of Discord user AvatarSD - and it’s absolutely huge, seemingly encompassing at least three different cities, plus several smaller towns.

It also looks as if the map may include several airports. It’s all speculation at this stage but this has definitely wet fans’ appetite. Twitter user JediNabber wrote, “So many city areas rather than just one, I love it,” while LukeDutchh added, “From comparisons that we’ve seen, I think it’s 3x the size of the old map. Not to mention this new map will have more detailed areas and not just a load of barren wasteland.”

We’ve got an exciting month or so ahead in the games industry. Xbox have confirmed their summer showcase, with rumours suggesting that a PlayStation one will take place later this month. Then, we have Summer Game Fest. Could GTA VI be the big reveal of the evening? Time will tell.
