GTA 6 players want the option to keep a pet alligator

GTA 6 players want the option to keep a pet alligator - which actually sounds quite plausible.

Animals just make life better and by that logic, adding them to our video games would make them even better. That is definitely the view of some Grand Theft Auto VI fans who would love to see Rockstar let us keep pet crocodiles in the much anticipated sequel.

December 2023 saw the first long-awaited trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI release and as you can expect, it wasn’t long before it broke the internet and fans got to work analysing its every second. Now a month and 172 million views later, the hype has slowly died down but that hasn’t stopped fans from hitting Reddit to share their thoughts.

Check out the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer below!

“Do you think it will be possible to have a pet in GTA VI?" Read one post on the GTA subreddit. It wasn’t long before other fans chimed in and it seems as though a pet alligator is at the top of everybody’s wishlist. "I want an alligator and a tactical ostrich,” said another. Another joked: "Makes sense, can’t wait to keep an alligator in my bathtub.”

The sudden urge to get a pet alligator comes from the aforementioned trailer which featured a moment where we saw an alligator stroll into a supermarket. Although this baffled some viewers, others thought it made perfect sense considering GTA VI will be set in a fictional Florida Everglades so alligators are just a part of daily life.

As well as alligators, the trailer also featured a Chihuahua, flamingos and other adorable animals. With GTA V’s Franklin having Chop the dog, it would not be too far-fetched for us to have access to other pets in Grand Theft Auto VI.

It remains to be seen if we will be able to rob banks with our pet alligator but if so, it will make for some excellent content.
