GTA 6 pre-orders already have fans seriously hyped

GTA 6 pre-orders may not be live just yet, but that hasn't stopped fans from theorising about when that'll happen.

You can always rely on Grand Theft Auto VI fans to bring the hype. As we all know, it’s not yet possible to pre-order the game, but that hasn’t stopped fans from theorising in their hordes about when pre-orders may drop and what they’ll entail.

In case it hadn’t yet dawned on you, given that it’s now 2024, we can officially say that GTA VI is launching next year. While I’m imagining it’ll be a fair few months yet before Rockstar Games drops any more trailers - they won’t want the hype to peak too soon - this year should ultimately be bountiful. I mean already, we’ve seemingly had our first celebrity cameo confirmed - and yes, it’s a good one. Given how well GTA V sold, I think we’re all expecting big things from GTA VI. Already, fans are clamouring to get their hands on pre-orders.

ICYMI: Take a look at GTA VI’s trailer below.

The reddit thread was started by user cashaveli who posed the question, “When do you think pre-orders will be available?” Rockstar Games don’t need to worry about shifting units of any kind of collector’s edition. It sounds as if they’ll fly off the shelves. [I don’t know], but I’m buying the collector’s edition,” wrote jimbrutan, while SgtBurger echoed that sentiment with, “I will pre-order the collector’s edition, 100 percent.”

Many fans seem to agree that they don’t think pre-orders will open for a while. “A year before release?” suggested Icy_Ad620. “A few months before the official release,” echoed Otherwise_Sky1739. Rockstar Games is, of course, yet to announce a release date but a release window could be narrowed down very soon.

Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar, are due to hold their next quarterly review meeting on 4 February 2024. During these types of events, financial targets and goals are typically outlined. It was in a previous review meeting that Take-Two teased that they expected extremely well-performing financial years in 2024 and 2025, just ahead of Rockstar then confirming GTA VI’s existence and trailer.

For now, we’ll have to hang tight. They do say good things come to those who wait.
