GTA 6 job listings are a very promising sign

GTA 6 job listings are a very promising sign

Rockstar Games is currently recruiting for several positions - a promising sign for waiting Grand Theft Auto 6 fans.

The Grand Theft Auto VI speculation continues. Unfortunately, October came and went without a reveal but a new series of job listings could spell positive news for the highly anticipated game.

Insiders were convinced that a Grand Theft Auto VI trailer would drop on or around 26 October. Clearly, it didn’t - and so the lengthy wait continues. It’s now looking as if GTA VI might receive a reveal in early 2024. In the meantime, a fresh leak has unveiled that GTA VI could build upon San Andreas’ gang wars, expanding the ability to create in-game factions. The game is also reportedly due to include a state of the art ageing system that puts Red Dead Redemption 2’s to shame. The character customisation is set to be ridiculously detailed plus there’s some leaked robbery gameplay to admire … I could go on, but let’s return to those job listings.

GTA VI is rumoured to be set in Vice City. Take a look at this great remaster mod below.

As reported by Rockstar Universe, Rockstar Games quietly opened up a new LA-based studio in August 2023. It’s unknown what exactly the studio is working on but three job listings did recently appear online linked to the location. Rockstar is reportedly seeking a casting assistant, a casting associate, and an associate writer focusing on pedestrian and ambient dialogue - essentially NPC dialogue.

It’s hard to know whether these are linked to GTA VI or Rockstar’s next project. You’d expect casting to be wrapped up by now when the game is rumoured to launch next year or in early 2025. That being said, perhaps these two jobs go hand in hand. Could the casting assistant and associate be recruiting voice talent to record the pedestrian and ambient dialogue, adding GTA VI’s final touches … It’s a possibility but, of course, this is merely speculation.

It’s a win-win situation. Either Rockstar Games is beavering away on GTA VI or their next project is already in development. We can’t really complain about either of those options. Keep on cooking Rockstar.
