'GTA Online' Most Hated Vehicle Has Finally Been Nerfed

'GTA Online' Most Hated Vehicle Has Finally Been Nerfed

Rockstar Games have finally nerfed GTA Online's most notorious bike.

It’s been a big ol’ week for Grand Theft Auto fans. For years, Grand Theft Auto VI felt like a faraway dream. After all, development updates have been practically non-existent, yet this week one leaker put a stop to that after they dropped a ton of details about the game.

It’s now believed that GTA VI will release between April 2023 and March 2024, and will feature a female protagonist. It’s likely to be set in Vice City, and will have a “cleaned up” tone. Hm, lots of food for thought. It sounds like Rockstar are certainly looking to shake up the franchise, yet, whilst we wait for more GTA VI news, Rockstar have made a minor change to GTA Online.

This incredible fan modded version of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, could give us a taste of what GTA VI might look like.

When it comes to vehicles in GTA Online, there’s one that practically every player dreads seeing in the possession of another, the Oppressor Mk II. There’s a reason why this bike has achieved such notoriety. The bike is fitted with accurate missiles, high-tech defence mechanisms and can travel at breakneck speeds.

You’ve heard the phrase ‘With great power comes great responsibility?’ Well, the Oppressor Mk II has a habit of falling into the hands of trolls with little care for responsibility. Unsurprisingly, the Oppressor Mk II is a pretty formidable killing machine so you can quite easily see how in the wrong hands, this bike could put an end to hordes of GTA Online players.

Thankfully, Rockstar have finally taken note and nerfed the bike during a recent update. They said, “The effectiveness of the Homing Missiles on the Pegassi Oppressor Mk II has been reduced, and its countermeasures will have increased cooldowns and fewer uses.” It still sounds like the Oppressor Mk II boasts a fair bit of power, but these changes are welcomed nonetheless.
