Grand Theft Auto Restaurant Cluckin' Bell Has Opened In Real Life

Grand Theft Auto Restaurant Cluckin' Bell Has Opened In Real Life

Cluckin' Bell has opened its doors in real life, complete with bottles of Sprunk.

I’d argue that no game exists that is more anticipated than Grand Theft Auto VI. Given the scale and success of the franchise, GTA VI is a no-brainer for Rockstar, yet we still had to wait a whopping eight years for them to announce the dang thing.

Several years on from that, and we’re still no closer to finding out when GTA VI is due to be released. We do know that Rockstar have fully shifted their focus to GTA VI, acknowledging that the game needs to “exceed players’ expectations”. Seeing as players’ expectations have already drifted to infinity and beyond, that’s a tall order. If you simply cannot wait any longer, I have a fun GTA find that could scratch the itch. Cluckin’ Bell has opened in real life.

Here’s everything we know about Grand Theft Auto VI so far.

As I’m sure you’re aware, Cluckin’ Bell is a fast food restaurant within the GTA universe that first appeared back in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The restaurant is a parody of real-life chicken restaurants like KFC or Chick-fil-A.

Earlier this week, Cluckin’ Bell popped up at San Diego Comic Con. The mastermind behind the restaurant was creator BoyWorldWide who called the pop-up a four day “art performance” and “immersive experience” and it was certainly that. Employees donned chicken hats and yellow uniforms, and even the branding was on point.

Attendees could pick up real-life Sprite knock-offs, Sprunk, and outside of the restaurant, there was a wanted poster for Grand Theft Auto V character Trevor Phillips. Take a look at the full experience below.

Although it’s not confirmed, it appears as if the pop-up wasn’t actually affiliated with Rockstar but I’d guess it’s certainly food for thought for them … so to speak. Cluckin’ Bell proved to be a huge success.
