Cheat codes are an important part of what made the original Grand Theft Auto Trilogy a legendary set of games. From transforming yourself into Candy Suxxx to to dropping vehicles on pedestrians, the cheat codes of other GTA games were hilarious. However with the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition comes a sad change - some of the cheat codes are being removed.

In an interview with USA Today Rich Rosado, a producer from Rockstar, confirmed that the cheats included in the game have changed. He says: “We actually had to remove a couple for technical reasons, certain things that didn’t play well in the Unreal base. But that’s actually where I’ll leave it. There’s some fun with discovery. I’m not saying plus or minus, but I’d rather not just go right on the nose before the release of the game and go straight to the end credits.”

It seems that he doesn’t want to give away too much about the state of cheat codes in the game. We’re not sure if that means a lot have been culled or if we’re looking at some potential new inclusions. We’ll all be able to find out how much havoc we can cause when Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition later today on November 11.
