'GTA Trilogy' Update Didn't Actually Fix That Much At All

'GTA Trilogy' Update Didn't Actually Fix That Much At All

Rockstar released a patch that didn't do everything that it promised.

In case you missed it, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy Definitive Edition is a mess. Rockstar announced the remaster in October and launched the game in November to a disappointed audience. Fans have complained about glitches, visual changes, and even the removal of some jokes, not to mention the game was actually taken off of PlayStation and PC stores at one point. It’s a bit of a mess and Rockstar and Grove Street Games have been working hard to update the game to fans’ standards… but the first patch hasn’t done much.

As reported by ScreenRant, some of the details that have been ‘fixed’ with a new patch, have not in fact been fixed. There are reports from several different players that things are just as janky as ever. How disappointing.

Here is our comparison between the original trilogy and the updated version...

For example, Shane Luis on Twitter posted a video of them playing San Andreas and shooting police on an entirely invisible bridge. It’s a post in response to Rockstar Support’s tweet about the 1.02 fixes and they say: “This is a lie. I just downloaded the patches on Xbox Series X and many of the glitches they claimed to have fixed are still alive and well. The bridge is still invisible. This is starting to get stupid.”

Other players like Vadim M reckon that these patch notes were intended for a later patch, or at least that these are in the process of being fixed and have not yet been implemented. Though this can simply be seen as a mistake, there are some fans of the series that feel even more betrayed by this development.

At least there are surely more updates to come in the coming weeks, and maybe even some added features if Rockstar is feeling generous
