You'd be hard-pressed to find a superhero who hasn't died and come back to life at least once during their career. Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, Green Arrow, Wolverine, and Captain America have all bitten the dust at one point or another - and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
For the superpowered community, dying is a little bit like a trip the dentist. It's inevitable and annoying, but we all know it's not forever. And now, another fan-favourite DC character is set to join the hallowed ranks of dead heroes who definitely won't stay dead.
As confirmed by DC Comics' solicitations for September 2022, Harley Quinn #22 by writer Stephanie Phillips and artist Matteo Lolli will see the Joker's former sidekick-turned antihero murdered "for real". As an added wrinkle, she's also going to have to track down her own murderer.

"The Quinn is dead! Long live the Quinn! I get killed in this one…for real," reads the official synopsis, written from Quinn's perspective.
"Dead. Deceased. Former. Late. Pushing up daisies. Somebody needs to solve my murder, and since I don’t see Sherlock Holmes or Hercule Poirot around, I guess that’ll have to be me. Though, since I’m dead…there are certain hurdles to overcome. The Harley-est, wildest arc starts right here…get ready for murder, Multiversal mischief, and more guest appearances."
How exactly Quinn meets her end, and indeed how she's going to solve her own murder, are mysteries that will be revealed when the new arc launches in September.
