New 'Hogwarts Legacy' Trailer Is Just What Fans Have Been Asking For

Just like magic

There's a fair bit we still don't really know about Hogwarts Legacy. A lengthy gameplay deep-dive released back in March gave us our best look yet at the game, true, but I still have questions.

Exactly how big is the new Harry Potter RPG? How will our choices affect the world? And how big a role does combat really play?

March's gameplay trailer gave us a pretty good overview of combat, and how we'll be able to combine and evolve different spells to deal with different types of enemies. It certainly looks much smoother and faster than I was expecting, which is great!

Of course, not everyone wants to sit through a 10-minute gameplay overview every single time they want to look over the combat for new details they might have missed. Fortunately, Reddit user Geraltze has compiled every frame of combat from all of the Hogwarts Legacy clips so far to create on in-depth combat supercut. I didn't know I needed this until now.

In other words, this is our best and most comprehensive look at the Hogwarts Legacy combat on the internet. Check it out below!

Hogwarts Legacy revolves around a goblin uprising, but there'll be other dark wizards and magical creatures infected by an ancient magic to take on, too.

Various enemies have their own special weaknesses and approaches to combat, so you'll need to head into battle knowing which spells and counter charms are most effective in any given situation. As you'd expect, progressing through the story unlocks more powerful skills and spell combinations for more potent attacks.

It looks to me like the combat we've seen so far has only really scratched the surface of what Hogwarts Legacy is offering. I can't wait to see exactly how hardcore we can get with our spells when the game launches later this year.
