Hogwarts Legacy player discovers hidden feature after 400 hours

Hogwarts Legacy player discovers hidden feature after 400 hours

A Hogwarts Legacy player discovers a hidden feature after playing for 400 hours.

It may have only been released earlier this year, but Hogwarts Legacy continues to be the gift that keeps on giving.

Developed by Avalanche Software, Hogwarts Legacy is an action RPG set during the 1890s, long before the likes of Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter. In it, you play as a student that is mysteriously inducted into the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during the fifth year.

Someone modded PS1 Hagrid into the game.

Hogwarts Legacy is a large game that not only lets players explore the halls of its school but also its outer wilderness filled with secrets and wonder, as well as various NPCs to interact with, which could result in an unexpected quest. Due to how vast Hogwarts Legacy can be, players are still discovering plenty of new secrets, and it’s perhaps the ones that are most subtle that end up being the most interesting. One such secret was discovered by Reddit user ShadowSparks6532.

Responding to a post from fellow Redditor Icy-Service-52, who said: “I just realised as I'm approaching the end of my second 100% playthrough that you can gather all of the glow flies at once,” ShadowSparks6532 responded with a subtle realisation of their own.

“It took me 400 hours to learn I could put my hood up on cloaks,” replied ShadowSparks6532. After putting many hours into Hogwarts Legacy myself, I had no idea you could do this. It may be a small detail, but it’s quite cool that you can channel your inner Ezio Auditore from Assassin’s Creed. To do this, simply hover the onscreen cursor over the item and select triangle or Y, depending on your console.

In related Hogwarts Legacy news, another player has discovered a ‘bizarre Thanos creation’. Let’s just hope that it doesn't involve him re-discovering the Infinity Stones!

Hogwarts Legacy is out now for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. It was supposed to have been released on Nintendo Switch by now, but after suffering multiplayer delays, patient fans will have to wait a little longer to explore Hogwarts on the go.
